Finding My Way Back
I started riding at Seahorse Farm when I was five. I remember hot summer days, early mornings before shows, and all the time I spent with my horse. He was my best friend, and the barn felt like home.
Then life moved on. College, work, marriage, and a few moves took me away from riding. I missed it, but kept telling myself I’d find my way back someday.
When I finally did, I was looking for clothes that felt like me: practical for the barn, with the style and personality I wanted to wear everywhere else. I couldn’t find quite what I had in mind, so I decided to create it.
I chose the name Long Reins for what long-reining asks of a horse and rider. Working together from the ground, they build strength and balance through patience, communication, and trust. That kind of connection has always meant a lot to me. It grows over time and stays with you long after you leave the barn.
Long Reins began with my own way back to horses. I hope it feels a little like coming home to you, too.
